this is where i list my many projects, such as musical projects, collaborations, contributions, etc., to shed some light on other people's work that i adore and also so i can keep track and not forget lol.
feel free to click on an image to take you to whatever it is i'm talking about!
after meeting kevin mccune at a weatherday show, he mentioned recording an album and reached out to me about recording trumpet for the album. and god this album is pretty! i didn't hear much of it until it released so i was pleasantly surprised by the end result. a little before the album released, i got asked to play in a show for the release in salt lake city, which i agreed to! it was so much fun, and now i am a member in the live band titled "kevin mccune and the twine", and have performed in two live shows since then.

"skramz unplugged" is another community compilation album held by the label bedroom skramz and diy jams, which featured original acoustic songs. we were not allowed to use midi, pedals, electric guitar, and could only use recording gear (microphone and whatever DAW we chose). these imposed limitations were fun to plan around, and i really enjoyed my lyrics and vocal melodies on the song i made. all proceeds went to conservation international, which is an environmental charity. my song is track 62 on the bandcamp page.

petal dance is a single by the world renowned skramz band gingerbee, which has me playing the trumpet for the intro. i remember being sent the demo and just being told to play "whatever you want wherever it fits" which was pretty daunting at first lol. but! it blew me away, it sounded incredible and i was excited to contribute not only my trumpet playing but my own artistic flair onto the intro of the track.

the stargazer fest was a urlfest held by alluvion records, where i had to submit music alongside a music video for visuals. around this time i was listening to a ton of jungle, dj mixes, and the jet set radio soundtrack (and other hideki naganuma songs). as a way to reconnect with my roots as a pokemon remixer, i decided to embrace this sorta style as best as i could. it was incredibly fun. i got a free trial of splice to screen record all the sounds i liked so i didn't have to pay to download any of the sound effects (but i accidentally forgot to cancel my trial so i ended up paying anyway) and made 5 tracks with one remix, paired with gameplay of the very fun movement plus mod in bomb rush cyberfunk. the full video can be found on my youtube channel and the audio files can be downloaded here.

the cosmocrasher fest was a urlfest held over three days by starrcade records and carcrasher, where i was invited to submit music along with a music video to be premiered on youtube. around this time i was using pokemon soundfonts, so the tracks were inspired by pokemon themes. the first track entitled "your very own adventure is about to unfold" has the first 30 seconds of the pokemon platinum intro, which was promptly flagged by youtube, causing a lot of issues when it came to archiving the day three set lmao. to be fair, i did ask if this was fine to add and was told "probably". the visuals come from a free visuals app i downloaded because any program that tried to run on my computer would crash.
the second track is one of my favorites, called "snowpiral city (evening)" it features snowy shots of the city i live in, and once i ran out of footage i used a cool video of dry ice i shot at the planetarium. the full video can be found on my youtube channel and the audio files can be downloaded here.

for a while i ran a project called "silly kitty prints", which was made to screenprint t-shirts and tote bags for bands. i did three runs, two for mil ataris por segundo which is a venezuelan skramz band, and one for snail trails which is another skramz band in the bsdj community. i took up a project durng a particularly stressful month which stifled the enthusiam to take on future projects, and since then i've kinda fallen out with screenprinting. i definitely plan on revisiting it in the future, whether it is for my own art or another band, but right now silly kitty prints is on an indefinate hiatus.

reasonable records' "beneath the leaves" compilation was held in the discord server for signed artists and friends. all of the proceeds went to the palestinian children's relief fund, and overall it was a fun track to make. i was pretty nervous about this opportunity because at the time i had one original song out, and i didn't want to disappoint anyone and was a little worried i wouldn't be able to finish a song. but it turned out great, and i am still very fond of the song i made for this compilation.

elizabeth whitington's album "we're still the same, if not minorly fucked", is genuinely an incredible album i have the absolute honor of being a part of. it was the first project i contributed to and one of my favorite albums from elizabeth whitington. i play trumpet on "spirits, feared i know", where my playing is distorted and noisy, in true claustrophobia pop style.

"the title should have ghosts in it" is a community compilation album held by the goated label bedroom skramz and diy jams, which featured cover songs with all proceeds going towards the national council, which benefits mental health services in america. for some ungodly reason i had been listening to old coldplay songs and thought a skramz cover of viva la vida would go crazy. it even shared a similar chord progression to weatherday's come in which i threw in at the end lol. it's track 19 in the comp, and is officially the first time any song of mine has been released on physical format, which is really neat.
